PERSONAL CARE SERVICES

Thoreau Navajo Outreach, Inc. is a non-medical Personal Care Services Agency working with Medicaid patients who qualify for PCS services and who would prefer to remain in the comforts of their own home. TNO as we are also known, is a non-profit Navajo owned faith-based business located on the outskirts of the Navajo nation.

Non-medical Personal Care Services offers the chance for your loved one to find a caregiver with whom they can manage activities of daily living. In many cases, qualified members can choose a family caregiver to provide those services for them.

  • Assistance with hygiene e.g. Bathing, Dressing, and Grooming Care

  • Meal Preparation: Assistance with Feeding

  • Cleaning and Laundry

  • Mobile Assistance: moving around the home, assistance to the bathroom

  • Medication reminders

  • Transportation to medical appointments

  • Activities and assistance with shopping

  • Socialization and Companionship

COMMUNITY SERVICES

  • Thoreau Navajo Outreach, Inc. works with a local food bank, providing a monthly community food pantry with food items.

  • We also receive local donations of gently used clothing, household items and goods for our community clothing closet which is opened once a month to assist families in need with various items. Donated items are given in goodwill and are not to be sold for profit.

  • TNO also offers school supplies to help students in the community and surrounding area.
